Willow Winsham is an author and historian specializing in witchcraft and folklore. She is the author of Accused: British Witches Throughout History, England’s Witchcraft Trials, Magpies and Red Skies: The Enchanting Origins of 100 Superstitions, and Treasury of Folklore: Stars and Skies, as well as  co-author of Treasury of Folklore: Seas and Rivers and Treasury of Folklore: Woodlands and Forests with Dee Dee Chainey. Willow is also co-founder of #Folklorethursday, the popular website and Twitter account that shares fascinating stories and traditions from around the world.

Willow has previously written for Future Publishing, with articles published in All About History magazine and a variety of history and folklore themed bookazines. She also authored the popular monthly Treasury of Folklore column for The Countryman magazine, where she explored the varied and wonderful folklore and heritage of the UK.

When not writing, Willow spends her time in family history research, crocheting, and indulging a growing board game habit. She happily shares her home with her three children and two British Shorthair cats.
